“EL dia que me quieras” and “El pajaro Cantor”

These two pieces are like brother and sister. “el dia que me quieras” was done for the Dallas Symphony Show “Violins”, which talks about a song from Carlos Gardel  (Argentinian tango singer/song writer)”el dia que me quieras” which is the first line of the song. The second line is “El pajaro Cantor”. The whole paragraph talks about a men in love with a woman whom doesn’t pay attention to him. The bird will sing when  she will love him back.

The other Show is a collective from all the Texas Encaustic groups : San Antonio, Dallas, Austin, and Huston, called “Degrees”. The piece  I  am showing is a Diptych titled: ” 180 degrees” which tals about how can two people with the same up-bringing, same parenting, same habitat and habits , be like “180 different Here is the image as well.

I would love to hear your feedback from any of both of the pieces. Looking forward for your comments.

My first post in this blog is tell you that I have two shows opening this Mother’s day weekend. One is called “Her Story” at the Art hotel Gallery in Dallas.

The Art piece showing is ” Stairway to heaven” which is part of an installation called “120″ which honored 120 Texan women that died in the hands of a loved one (intimate partner) in a domestic violence episode.

This piece was a real cjhallenge to put together , but I feel very proud to have portraited  my idea, and have solved all the problems it presented. Here is the image.
